Reflection and Continuous Growth

The teacher is a reflective practitioner who uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (students, families, and other professionals in the learning community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner.

These are reflections I wrote during my student teaching. Some of them talk about how I feel good and then some of them talk about the anxieties I have and fears that I am not doing well. These show my growth over time and I think they are a good thing to reflect back on.
This is a self-evaluation I did half way through student teaching. I filled this out and then met with my mentor to discuss and see where we agree and disagree. My mentor and I agreed on most things at this time and created a plan to help me approve in some areas that needed. This ultimately was very helpful to me and it was nice to talk about all of these standards with my mentor to see where I could improve.
This was an ancestry project that I did for my Social Studies for the Young Child class. I am putting it under this standard because this project demonstrates how personal identity, privilege, and background can shape perspectives and learning. During this project, I developed a greater self-awareness and a stronger to commitment to fostering an inclusive, empathic classroom environment. Recognizing my own biases and experiences prepares me to better support the diverse needs of all learners.
