Planning for Instruction

The teacher draws upon knowledge of content areas, cross-disciplinary skills, learners, the community, and pedagogy to plan instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals.

This is a unit project that I did with three other students in ED210 STEAM Curriculum and Design. This unit includes lesson plan outlines and outlines a 5-week unit about the ocean. My particular section is pages 11-20 where I created a variety of 50-minute lessons on the food chain and ocean animal behaviors.

This artifact is from ED322- Teaching Students with Exceptional Needs in the Regular Classroom. This is an instructional portfolio that has multiple different lesson plans created and each one includes accommodations for multiple different exceptional needs. I believe it fits under this artifact because it has planned out a variety of different lessons with Maine standards, materials, and procedures and provides a baseline for accommodations that may one day be added for students of my own.

This goes to a copy of my weekly slides that I used during student teaching. This provided visuals to the students and is also a guide for me as a new teacher so I ensure I know all the content prior to teaching it and so I make sure I do not forget an important part to each lesson.
