Learning Differences
The teacher uses understanding of individual differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that allow each learner to reach his/her full potential.
This artifact is my Literature Project from my ED215 Children's Literature class. It fits under standard 2 because it is about how to teach children with ASD to read and how to engage them in morning meeting. This is a valuable thing to understand especially in Early Childhood to keep them included in the class.
This artifact is from my ED323 Teaching Early Childhood Students with Exceptional Needs class. This fits under the learning differences standard because it shows how to be aware of children with speech apraxia and how they may require extra assistance while learning.
This is part of my RTI case study that I did during student teaching. This full assignment was done as a physical copy so this is not the entirety of the assignment. However, this includes weekly plans for 7 weeks that would have hypothetically taken place during a small group during literacy. It also includes well over 100 pages of resources that could be used for this group of children. Pre-assessments were done on four of my students and they were determined to be about grade level but had the risk of falling behind if interventions did not occur. I created my plans to follow the lessons that would be taught in phonics and have this small group continue practice for another week following whole group instruction.
